Fake Mustache By Tom Angleberger

Our last class read aloud was Fake Mustache by Tom Angleberger. I asked my fourth graders to respond to the question: What did you LOVE about Fake Mustache?

Here are some of their responses:

*What I LOVE about Fake Mustache, is that it is a great adventure. You get to experience something out of the ordinary, something great. I think Fake Mustache is a glass of cold lemonade on a hot summer day, so refreshing.

*This book is full of humor.  This is a llaugh-out-loud book, great for any child.

*What I liked about Fake Mustache is that it starts out with the ending.

*It was so fun to read and I loved when they switched parts. It is a very fun book to read and the things that happen you would never expect to happen.

*All the twist and turns, and how Mr.Sharp made the Jody O’ Rodeo voice, and how Lenny likes Jody and Jody likes him back it’s really funny too!!!!!!

*What I liked about Fake Mustache was all the drama and mystery in the book. I don’t read mystery books but that book can really make you laugh and sometimes you are so into the book that you may have a heart attack (not really). But still, it is a really good book to me. It has all the things that a book needs to be a good book. I especially like the whole fake mustache thing. That is funny I once had a fake mustache but that was 2 years ago and I don’t want to get into that. That would be a really good story to write, but anyways another reason why I like that book is because of the people in it like it tells about them. The book even has a little bit of romance and it has kissing and stuff wich a fourth grader would think is really funny and thats what I like about Fake Mustache.

*It was my type of reading, It was an adventure. It made you think and I LOVED IT!!!!

*I love Fake Mustache! I think it is the best book ever! I liked how they lead up to what happened at the end and like it fealt like real life. I know this sounds weird but I was sucked into that book everytime we read I felt like I was inside the book and it was just so exciting!!!!

*I loved it because Casper had a fake mustache and ran for president even though he was just a kid.

*I love Fake Mustache because of the adventures and surprising things that happen during it, and there is kind of romance that goes on in the story.
