I read MOSSY by Jan Brett last week and paired it with Steve Jenkins BEETLES Jan has a beetle border in her fabulous Turtle story and the Beetle Book is a good way to compare fiction and non fiction (and to also discuss how Jan did the research for her art) Have a great week.     Marjie Podzielinski

  2. We’re making a little bit of progress with the Newbery Challenge as Iphigene has just shared a review of The Cat who went to Heaven – seems like a good companion book for the one you have up here. 🙂
    Bear Has a Story to Tell sounds really nice – and might be good as well for our books about books and the river of words theme. Will look for that one in our libraries.
