I spent yesterday building bookshelves with my father-in-law and my wife’s uncle. When I accepted a new position, in the elementary I attended as a child, I realized that I didn’t really have any bookshelves. Thankfully, I have family members that would do anything to help me out.
Yesterday’s bookshelf building party helped remind me that educating a child takes a team, and the more people in your corner that you have, the more successful you will be.
I feel blessed to have so many people in my corner.
On Saturday, during my Newbery Challenge video, I’ll share how the bookshelves look in my classroom.
Oh, Colby, I love this 🙂 It’s wonderful to have supportive family, especially carpenters! lol LOTS of shelves for LOTS of books, I’d say! Enjoy! Are you going to paint them wonderful colors or leave them natural?

I’m going to leave them natural for this school year since I’m running out of time.

Oh boy, do I wish I had your helpers! I ended up buying mine at Walmart and will have to figure out how to put them together tomorrow. Ha.
