Celebrating Poem In Your Pocket Day

Poem In Your Pocket Day is one of my favorite holidays of the entire year. It is right up there with World Read Aloud Day. Yesterday my students and I had a blast celebrating poetry.

The day started off with third graders passing out poems to every: parent, grandparent, teacher, and student that walked into our building.

  1. I love that all of the school participated and students gave poems to everyone who came into the school. This is great! I would love to make this a whole school celebration next year.
