Love this idea! We have activity nights at our middle school where the students can play games, dance, have snacks, etc. Bringing this down to the elementary level and letting them just have some open-ended play time based on their interests is awesome!

The more I see how kids are outside of school, the more I want to make my classroom a place where they can be themselves. Seeing them in a lock-in setting is fascinating. It is wild to see kids that are often quiet in class, be very outgoing at lock-in. Lots to think about.
