I’m having a ton of fun with my new class. In the video below, I talk about the first ten picture books that I read them aloud.
I’d love to know the books you’ve been reading your kids. Let me know in the comments below!

I teach 3-5 Reading RTI students. I do one read aloud a week since I only have them 2 days a week. I started the year with The Invisible Boy. and I will be reading The Dot this next week! Love your shares! Some were on my future list already, will be checking the other out!

Have 8 of these books, 2’of which were part of my first 10 books! Just ordered “A Stone Sat Still” and “The Very Last Castle”. I listened to you in Winchester, VA and adopted your A Book A Day in my classroom. I already read almost a picture book a day along with our Novel reads, but now we are intentional about it and have a specific time for it on our schedule. Have a great year.

We have had the most discussion with What Do You Do With a Chance by Kobi Yamada. It worked well with the beginning of school and goal setting.

For the daily book (not mini-leasson) do you have a routinely scheduled time or just fit it in when there is a moment?

We always do it at the very end of our time together.
